This role will play a key part in ensuring long-term manufacturing readiness, supply continuity, and a scalable sourcing network that supports future business growth.Job DescriptionLead the sourcing, qualification, and development of new machining suppliers to support long-term business growth and capacity requirements.Identify and assess suppliers with strong technical capabilities, operational maturity, scalability, and financial stability.Drive supplier industrialization programs covering process readiness, capability assessment, equipment planning, and production ramp-up activities.Develop and execute machining capacity expansion strategies to support future demand growth and operational requirements.Lead supplier capacity planning initiatives with a focus on CNC machining capability, utilization optimization, and manufacturing scalability.Coordinate supplier investment plans, machine loading strategies, and ramp-up readiness to ensure uninterrupted supply.Monitor capacity constraints, supply risks, and recovery plans to support business continuity objectives.Drive supplier footprint optimization through supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, localization, and Best Cost Country initiatives.Partner with regional and global stakeholders to strengthen supply flexibility, supplier competitiveness, and sourcing efficiency.Lead supplier benchmarking and market intelligence activities to identify emerging technologies, sourcing opportunities, and market trends.Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Business Units to align supplier ramp and capacity plans.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and responsiveness.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier development, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management.Proven experience managing machining suppliers, CNC manufacturing operations, supplier industrialization, and capacity planning initiatives.Strong understanding of machining processes, manufacturing operations, and supplier ecosystem management.Experience leading supplier qualification, ramp-up, and manufacturing capacity expansion projects.Strong project management, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple strategic projects and drive results in a complex global environment.Experience within precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, or semiconductor supply chain environments would be advantageous.Exposure to Asia sourcing strategies, supplier localization, and Best Cost Country initiatives is highly preferredWhat's on OfferBe part of a globally recognised organisation.Work in a dynamic, innovative environment with opportunities for growth.Competitive remuneration and benefits packageContactVictor DharmarajaQuote job refJN-082026-7077544Phone number+60323024108Job summaryFunctionProcurement & Supply ChainSpecialisationDirect ProcurementWhat is your area of specialisation?Industrial / ManufacturingLocationPenangContract TypePermanentConsultant nameVictor DharmarajaConsultant contact+60323024108Job ReferenceJN-082026-7077544
