About Our Client

Our client is a well‑established multinational organisation within the industrial and processing space, currently investing in a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia as part of a strategic regional expansion.

Job Description

  • Lead end‑to‑end CAPEX procurement for a greenfield manufacturing plant, managing sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract placement
  • Own procurement activities for major equipment packages, engineering services, and project‑related spend
  • Manage and optimise CAPEX budget, ensuring cost control, risk mitigation, and on‑time delivery
  • Act as the key procurement partner to engineering, site, and project teams throughout construction and commissioning
  • Negotiate complex commercial terms covering pricing, delivery, warranties, liabilities, and total cost of ownership
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships across local and international markets
  • Ensure procurement processes align with project timelines and governance standards
  • Support the transition of the role into broader regional procurement responsibilities post‑project

The Successful Applicant

A successful CAPEX Procurement Manager should have:

  • Proven experience handling CAPEX procurement within industrial, manufacturing, or project‑based environments
  • Comfortable working independently in a greenfield or ambiguous setup
  • Strong negotiation capability with high‑value equipment and contractor packages
  • Able to work closely with technical and engineering stakeholders
  • Willing to be office‑based in KL with regular travel to Johor.
