Job Description

This role plays a critical part in securing a multi-account AWS environment while enabling business and engineering teams to innovate safely.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing secure AWS cloud architectures, including landing zones and multi-account governance frameworks
  • Enhancing cloud security posture using AWS-native services such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM, Config, WAF, and Control Tower
  • Driving DevSecOps practices by embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Leading cloud security operations including monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Establishing and enforcing cloud governance, risk controls, and security baselines aligned to regulatory requirements
  • Supporting internal and external audits (e.g., ISO27001, PCI-DSS) and ensuring remediation of findings
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, infrastructure, and risk teams to enable secure cloud adoption
  • Managing and mentoring a small team of cloud security engineers



The Successful Applicant

A successful AWS Cloud Security Manager should have:

  • Proven hands-on experience securing AWS environments using native security tooling (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM, Config, WAF, Shield)
  • Solid understanding of AWS governance models, including landing zones, account structures, and access management
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD security, Terraform, and automated controls
  • Background in cloud risk management, security architecture, and vulnerability remediation
  • Prior exposure to regulated environments such as financial services, fintech, or large enterprise environments is advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
