This is a hands-on warehouse operations role in a freight forwarding company, focused on managing import cargo, solving daily operational issues, and reducing damage rates. The position is a succession role with a clear pathway to become Assistant Manager, taking over leadership of the warehouse team.

About Our Client

A well-established Malaysian freight forwarder with over 30 years of experience, offering end-to-end logistics solutions across sea, air, and warehousing. They operate key facilities in Port Klang (Northport & Westport) and provide hands-on logistics services in a fast-paced operational environment.

Job Description

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations (mainly import)
  • Manage container movements, loading/unloading, and cargo handling
  • Identify and fix operational issues on the ground
  • Help reduce cargo damage and improve handling processes
  • Plan container movement and workflow
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Gradually take on team management and leadership responsibilities

The Successful Applicant

A successful Warehouse Manager Senior Executive should have:

  • Experience in freight forwarding (must-have)
  • Background in warehouse, port, or logistics operations
  • Hands-on and willing to work on the warehouse floor
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate well and manage operations staff
  • Tough, resilient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to work Saturday (half-day)
