Job Description

  • Oversee the production engineering function, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise system performance and minimise downtime.
  • Lead a team of engineers, promoting collaboration and best practices across the department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and deliver technical solutions.
  • Monitor and resolve technical issues, ensuring quick response to minimise impact on operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies in all production activities.
  • Prepare reports and provide insights to senior management on system performance and improvement areas.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in production engineering processes and technologies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP-Site Reliability Engineer (Production Support) should have:

  • A strong technical background in the technology and telecoms industry.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage operational challenges effectively.
  • Experience in developing strategies to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Experience in implementing innovative solutions to improve processes.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Go and familiarity with Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Docker.
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
  • Professional certifications in AWS, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or ITIL are advantageous.
  • Malaysian Nationality is preferred
