Our client is a global leader in the semiconductor industry, known for its advanced automation and precision technology, is seeking skilled professionals to join their team. The role focuses on developing and testing embedded software for their machinery.

Job Description

Issue Reproduction & Feedback

  • Diagnose and replicate issues during assembly and at customer sites for accurate troubleshooting.
  • Provide detailed feedback and comprehensive bug reports to development teams for timely resolution.



Testing & Qualification

  • Perform functional and performance tests to qualify machines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create thorough test plans and document results.
  • Conduct SECS/GEM protocol testing to confirm compliance with communication standards.
  • Validate new software releases at customer locations (travel required) to ensure stability and performance.



Deployment & Configuration

  • Implement new software releases, including hardware setup and configuration at customer sites.
  • Assist in integrating software with existing customer hardware systems.



Communication & Documentation

  • Clearly communicate issues, test outcomes, and updates to field service engineers and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing documentation such as user guides and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding software functionality and technical issues



The Successful Applicant

A successful Software Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting, C# and C programming languages.
  • Experience in software/ automated testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Software testing theory and methods (e.g. testing pyramid, boundary value analysis)
  • Familiarity with SECS/GEM protocol and machine qualification processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site software validation and deployment.
  • Experience in electronics, industrial automation, mechatronics/ machinery industry will be a plus
