Job Description

  • Engage early in the development lifecycle to identify gaps in requirements, design, architecture, and documentation
  • Prepare test specifications from requirement documents within project timelines
  • Set up test environments and validate test beds
  • Execute functional and technical tests (including automation where applicable) according to project scope
  • Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders throughout test planning and execution
  • Record defects using standard defect management tools and ensure timely closure
  • Provide accurate and timely test status updates and reports
  • Apply established testing processes and project standards effectively
  • Adhere to software quality management policies and practices (SDF/UTM)
  • Support the test lead in daily activities, including monitoring and reporting
  • Share test quality insights and statistics in project meetings
  • Stay responsive to customer and project needs while supporting test leadership in managing expectations

The Successful Applicant

A successful QA Engineer (Automation) should have:

  • A background in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, covering both manual and automation (Cucumber, Selenium, or similar tools)
  • Hands-on testing expertise with Java applications, Web Services (REST, SOAP), REST APIs, and Oracle databases
  • Proven background in mobile application testing across both iOS and Android platforms
  • Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
