Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted supply and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support business objectives and cost savings.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality, delivery, and service standards.
  • Oversee inventory planning and store operations to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives within the purchasing function.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team while driving departmental performance and KPIs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Purchasing Manager should have:

  • Degree-qualified in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience leading and developing procurement or purchasing teams.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain operations.
  • Analytical, organized, and capable of making sound business decisions.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and exposure to international sourcing would be advantageous.
