A leading EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) client in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their expanding team in the Northern Region. With a strong vision to strengthen their market presence and enhance global competitiveness, the company continues to build on its success through operational excellence, efficient manufacturing processes, and continuous innovation.

As part of their next phase of growth, they are looking for a detail‑oriented planning professional who can effectively develop and manage production schedules, ensure optimal utilization of resources, and meet customer delivery commitments. The role will play a critical part in coordinating production activities, balancing capacity and demand, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Additionally, the Production Planner will contribute to improving overall production efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability to support the company's growing business needs.

Job Description

  • Evaluate order fulfillment feasibility based on available resources (materials, manpower, and equipment) and confirm production plans accordingly.
  • Develop, maintain, and update production schedules (MPS/forecast) in the system, ensuring alignment with demand and notifying relevant teams.
  • Monitor and control production execution, proactively addressing deviations and rescheduling as needed due to shortages, backlogs, or changes.
  • Ensure system data accuracy (BOM, routing, inventory, and work orders) and maintain reliable planning inputs on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Review material availability through "Clean to Build" analysis, coordinate with purchasing and stakeholders, and manage ECO implementation tracking.
  • Track inventory levels, resolve discrepancies, and monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, lead time, and inventory performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (SCM, Order Management, Master Scheduler, and Customer Teams) to support production priorities, customer programs, and drive continuous process improvements.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrates strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Possesses basic people and/or process management capabilities, with the ability to support cross-functional teams and drive planning efficiency.
