Job Description

  • Lead the Data Platform team to deliver and operate HAVI's Azure + Databricks platform (including environments, CI/CD, IaC, security, observability and governed access)
  • Own end-to-end platform operations ("run") and enhancements ("change") with strong DevOps/DataOps discipline, while acting as a hands-on technical leader (player/coach) managing team capacity, delivery commitments, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
  • Ensure the platform's performance, security, and reliability through continuous monitoring and optimization.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and modern technologies to enhance system efficiency.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.
  • Provide technical mentorship and foster a culture of innovation within the team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Platform Engineering Manager should have:

  • 8+ years in platform, software, or data engineering roles, including 3+ years of people management and ownership of production-grade services
  • Strong experience building and operating cloud platforms with SLAs: incident/problem/change management, release discipline, runbooks, and operational metrics (e.g., DORA/SRE-style measures)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of system architecture and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in implementing best practices for platform security and scalability.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
