The role involves applying design thinking principles, engineering communication networks, and supporting continuous improvement for optimal project outcomes.

Job Description

  • Review and interpret schematics for power management systems (PMS)
  • Design communication networks using protocols such as RSTP, HSR, PRP, and MRP
  • Engineer PMS applications including load shedding, load sharing, generator control, and synchronization
  • Develop and integrate IEC 61850-based systems (MMS and GOOSE)
  • Integrate LV/HV switchgear using protocols like Modbus, Profibus, and Profinet
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot communication networks using tools such as Wireshark, IEDScout, and ITT
  • Execute assigned project tasks effectively within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Apply design-for-excellence concepts to enhance project delivery and outcomes

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related field)
  • Experience in Power or Oil & Gas projects
  • Familiarity with IEC 61850 standards and integration techniques
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols and system integration
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a multicultural environment
