Job Description

  • Oversee IT operations to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to align with business strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team to achieve operational goals efficiently.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Ensure data security and implement disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology needs.
  • Monitor and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend enhancements for the organization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Deputy Head of IT Operations should have:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, infrastructure management or related functions (At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role)
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and network management.
  • Experience in the Transport & Distribution industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage teams and stakeholders.
