Our client is one of the leading fintech companies in the region, operating a large‑scale, mission‑critical digital platform with significant transaction volumes and a growing ecosystem of users and partners. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for defining and executing the end‑to‑end technology strategy to support business growth, platform scalability, security, and innovation. Reporting to the CEO, the CTO will lead engineering, platform architecture, payments technology, data, security, and technology operations across the organisation.

Job Description

  • Set and execute the company's technology strategy to support a scalable, secure fintech platform.
  • Lead engineering, payments infrastructure, platform architecture, data, and technology operations.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience across mission‑critical transaction systems.
  • Partner with Product, Commercial, Risk, and Operations to deliver compliant, customer‑focused digital solutions.
  • Own cybersecurity, technology risk, data privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Drive platform modernisation, adoption of emerging technologies, and engineering best practices.
  • Build and lead a strong technology leadership team; manage budgets, vendors, and strategic partners.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Technology Officer (CTO) should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive technology experience, including senior leadership roles.
  • Strong prior experience in fintech, payment gateways, digital payments, financial platforms, or adjacent regulated industries.
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex, high-availability platforms with significant transaction scale.
  • Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience operating in regulated, security-sensitive, or enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated success in driving platform transformation and scaling technology organizations.
  • Strategic, commercially minded technology leader with strong execution discipline.
  • Highly credible with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong people leader with the ability to attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Resilient, decisive, and accountable.
