Job Description

As the APAC Region CTO (Oil & Gas Industry), you will play a key role in supporting business expansion, solution development, and customer engagement across the Asia Pacific region.Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Oil & Gas industry, providing industry insights and strategic guidance to regional business teams.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and industry developments to formulate effective industry solution and sales strategies.
  • Identify business opportunities and support country teams in achieving commercial success and business growth.
  • Engage with senior customer stakeholders and decision-makers to understand challenges and position appropriate solutions.
  • Support regional business development activities, including executive customer engagements, marketing events, and strategic projects.
  • Collect and analyze customer requirements to improve the competitiveness of industry solutions.
  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners and internal teams to continuously optimize and enhance solution offerings.
  • Drive the implementation of scenario-based Oil & Gas solutions for key customer projects.
  • Support planning and execution of industry-focused marketing initiatives and thought leadership activities.
  • Develop successful customer case studies and provide enablement support to regional sales and presales teams.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of ICT requirements and digital transformation initiatives within the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in Exploration & Production (E&P) environments.
  • Experience as an IT Director, Data & Information Management Manager/Director, industry consultant, system integrator, or technology solution provider within the Oil & Gas sector is highly preferred.
  • Experience in geoscience data management, geoscience IT projects, and technology solution delivery within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with regional and multicultural teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with scenario-based Oil & Gas solutions, particularly in:
    • E&P High Performance Computing (HPC)
    • Intelligent Oilfield initiatives
    • Digital Oil & Gas transformation projects
