Job Description

  • PC-Based Control Software Development: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of precision laser equipment, including requirements definition, installation, commissioning, production ramp-up, and continuous performance enhancement.
  • Design, modify, and troubleshoot PC-based machine control software (primarily C#), covering areas such as machine sequencing, HMI, data collection, alarm handling, and integration with hardware systems.
  • Automation Integration: Develop and maintain interfaces between PC control systems and automation hardware-including PLCs, sensors, encoders, and controllers-ensuring reliable communication, synchronization, and safety compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
  • Perform system testing and debugging to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software-related issues in manufacturing equipment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sr Software Development Engineer (Manufacturing Equipment) should have:

  • 5-10 years of experience in equipment or automation engineering, ideally within high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Strong proficiency in C# (mandatory), with C++ as an added advantage
  • Preferably with hands-on experience with laser systems, motion control, vision systems, and PLC integration
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve automated equipment
  • Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset
  • Effective communication and collaboration across engineering teams
