The Application Manager will play a critical role in managing key customer accounts by providing technical expertise, customized solutions, and driving commercial growth. This individual will be the primary technical interface between the company and its strategic clients, identifying opportunities to create value through tailored product applications and supporting the sales team to convert these into commercial wins.

Our client is an established MNC in the food ingredients space. They are seeking determined, driven, and technical individuals to continue their ongoing growth.

Job Description

  • Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts in the bakery and food manufacturing sectors
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, aligning their needs with ingredient and application solutions
  • Lead technical trials, product demonstrations, and project coordination with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on support for ingredient and bakery application development, both in-house and at customer sites
  • Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to deliver customized technical solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and support commercial teams in closing deals
  • Conduct troubleshooting, technical training, and post-trial support as required
  • Track market trends and competitor activity to inform new solution development
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, technical results, and customer feedback
  • Support the sales and marketing teams in converting technical insights into commercial wins

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Bakery Science, or related field
  • Around 10 years of experience in technical bakery applications, preferably in industrial or B2B settings
  • Strong understanding of bakery processes, ingredient functionality, and formulation development
  • Proven experience working closely with commercial teams and key account stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Comfortable working hands-on in production and application environments
