About Our Client

Our client is a leading FMCG brand which is growing and expanding aggressively in worldwide. With a clear mandate for the growth of their existing portfolio, our client is looking to expand their Shared Services Centre in Malaysia by bringing in more scope from different region. They are looking for multiple Team Leads to join their General Ledger team to drive the migration process!

Job Description

This role essentially focuses on the following key areas and is not limited to:

  • Leading a team that is responsible for GL processes which covered fixed assets, inventories, bank reconciliation, period end closing, and reporting.
  • Review reports and reconciliations prepared by team members to ensure outputs are accurate and long-outstanding items are properly followed-up.
  • Responsible for monthly closing adjustments
  • Perform quality accounting review and analysis, and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Assist and support the training and development of team members to meet the expected skills required to perform at role level.Contributing to periodic meetings, liaise with stakeholders for queries raised or company's development activities
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLA) and monthly performance and productivity KPIs are met
  • Participations in the migration project as well as implementation of process improvement initiatives
  • Ad hoc tasks assigned by management as required.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will fulfil the following criteria:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or holder of a recognised professional qualification.
  • Possess 5 years' experience in Record-to-Report processing cycle and other relevant accounting functions, minimum 2 years of working experience in a SSC
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading continuous process improvement projects.
  • Candidates with experience in working with ERP systems are highly encouraged to apply, experience with Oracle or SAP is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge in Power BI tools will be an added advantage
  • Able to communicate fluently and write in English, ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Migration and/or Process improvement experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and prioritize responsibilities.
