Job Description

Key Responsibilities



  1. Tax Compliance & Calculation
    * Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculations for all China entities.
    * Support tax-related applications (e.g. withholding tax, import/export VAT) and coordinate with Field Finance or local tax firms for bureau submissions where required.
    * Work closely with the China Tax Reporting team to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.


  2. Tax & Government Audits
    * Support local tax and government audits by providing required information.
    * Coordinate closely with the Tax Reporting and Corporate Tax teams to manage audit requests and follow-ups.


  3. VAT & WHT Reconciliations / Account Control
    * Review VAT reconciliations (WD+2/3) across entities, investigate variances, and drive issue resolution.
    * Review Cadency reconciliations for VAT and WHT accounts; monitor and clear open items with relevant stakeholders.


  4. Statistics Reporting Preparation
    * Lead the team in preparing statutory statistics reporting by consolidating SAP, HR, and tax payment data into BPC.
    * Ensure data accuracy and readiness for downstream regulatory submissions.


  5. Incentives & JV Governance Support
    * Support incentives and subsidy applications by providing forecasts and required financial information.
    * Assist JV General Managers in preparing financial reports for JV partners; coordinate partner requests and participate in Board of Directors meetings where applicable.


  6. China Fixed Assets - Local Tax Book
    * Maintain the China fixed assets local tax book in compliance with applicable tax regulations and AP practices.
    * Ensure regular reconciliation between tax and accounting records.


  7. Transition & Team Setup
    * During the transition period, monitor project progress, build and structure the team, and assign roles and responsibilities.
    * Coordinate knowledge transfer, training, and documentation handover, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation or a related discipline (required).
  • Experience Minimum 8 years' experience in taxation-tax reporting and tax calculation with minimal 5 years managerial experience Experience coordinating with local tax bureaus is an advantage, working in outsourcing services in Taxation is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in organizational transitions would contribute positively to the responsibilities of this position.
  • The incumbent should have good command on software skills including Microsoft office ( Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.); SAP or other ERP system. Mandarin (speak, read and write in fluent manner)- mandatory English - mandatory
