About Our Client

Our client is located in Selangor and currently looking to expand their Cost Accounting team. They are currently looking for Cost Accounting to support their APAC region.

Job Description

  • Work with cost functional team to carry out and effectively complete month end closing related task to manufacturing and cost accounting functions
  • Perform accounting activities associated to product costing, manufacturing cost and inventory related activities.
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure the general ledger account is reconciled, accurate and reliable.
  • Prepare variance analysis report and perform quarterly budget.
  • Ensure proper valuation of inventories, identify costing efficiency & transfer pricing to minimize impairment as at year end.
  • Analyze financial aspects of the business, covering distribution costs for various divisions and analyze actual vs standard costs.
  • Analyze production conversion cost.
  • Work with other analyst at plant level to forecast on production volumes, allocation of inventories and ensure costs are accurately reflected in Cost of goods sold.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to provide recommendation to optimize business processes.
  • Involve in monthly management reporting and closing. Prepare presentation materials for senior management.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance to SOX requirements, financial standard and procedures on manufacturing cost activities across all plant related facilities within the region.
  • Coordinate and work closely with decision support in rendering support related services to global operation and GBSS organization.
  • Provision of government, statistical and PBC schedules to meet statutory audit and other local GAAP requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Graduate in Bachelor Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • Have at least 1-2 years of working experience
  • A team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good communications skills both verbal and written in English. Proficiency in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
  • Depending on the individual assignment, different language skills will be require
  • Computer literate and competent in Microsoft office, preferably have experience in SAP system, Business Warehouse
