About Our Client

A prominent Electronic Manufacturing Services provider is seeking an experienced Commodity Manager to join their team in the Penang Mainland area. With a goal to become the market leader, the company has consistently innovated and grown. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a skilled Commodity Manager to strengthen their team.

Job Description

  • Support business and strategic procurement activities related to PCB spend, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and global operations.
  • Implement PCB commodity management strategies, including the PML strategy, to meet operational needs and drive cost-effective, high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain a sustainable supply chain by focusing on competitive cost, quality, and lean execution.
  • Evaluate price trends, new products, and manufacturing processes to enhance team performance with local and regional suppliers.
  • Assist in resolving divisional issues, including material expediting, VMI, Incoterms, supplier qualification, and provide technical support for design and operations teams related to PCB.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 7 years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Preferred experience in PCB manufacturing, particularly in front-end engineering or process engineering roles.
  • Experience in a high mix/low volume part procurement environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with self-directed teams is a plus.
