Job Description

  • Oversee the engineering and manufacturing department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to industry standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage operational budget and monitor expenditure.
  • Work closely with the team to solve technical issues and improve product quality.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manager - Engineering Services & Operations should have:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical)
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in operations management, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial role
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale operations in manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the continuous manufacturing processes, water treatment, energy management and waste-to-energy systems.
  • Proficiency in ISO standards, safety compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on driving cross-functional collaboration and fostering a safe, inclusive and efficient workplace.
  • Advanced proficiency in operational tools, systems and software for monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze situations and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
