As part of their expansion, they are looking for a skilled Senior Buyer to strengthen their team.Job DescriptionEnsure timely supplier delivery, supply continuity, and resolve any delivery, quality, or payment issues through effective communication with suppliers.Provide guidance and support to junior buyers while implementing procurement systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with organizational goals, ensuring supplier performance meets quality and delivery objectives.Procure parts/materials through RFQs, cost analysis, price negotiations, and technical expertise, while maintaining data integrity in the system.Manage inventory levels, maintain compliance with organizational policies, and drive continuous improvement with suppliers to meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.The Successful ApplicantA minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or purchasing/planning environment, with familiarity in SAP operations. A strong team spirit is essential.Ability to apply intermediate subject matter knowledge to resolve common business challenges. Acts as an experienced team member, providing analysis and offering project direction. Works independently with limited supervision, follows established guidelines, interprets policies, and makes recommendations for unusual situations. Supports the business process with detailed and thorough analysis, focusing on day-to-day or tactical issues.Coordinates and interprets technical and business-related information, requiring persuasive communication skills. Regularly engages with others to resolve typical problems and collaborate on procedures, including team projects. Initiates and nurtures relationships as a key priority.Flexible in managing business challenges and providing guidance to Level 1 buyers.
