Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsMaterials for Battery and Energy Storage (Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese, Hydrogen..)Senior Buyer with 10 Years experience in Raw materials for batteryAbout Our ClientOur client, a multinational company in the battery and energy storage industry, is seeking a Senior Buyer for Raw Materials strategy for Battery and Energy Storage.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Buyer, you are responsible for defining and leading the Raw Materials strategy for Battery and Energy Storage that the company needs for the coming decades.Put in place all contracts (offtake, investments…) or partnerships that are validated in the strategy all around the world and for all the value chain from mining to battery or storage packs.Directly attached to the Battery and Energy storage leader and supporting a commodity leader, in close connection with the Business Development, technical, and finance teams, the MBES senior Buyer will :Define the company MBES strategies on all raw materials (Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese, Graphite, Hydrogen…) and along all the value chain of each, with internal relevant stakeholders (Business Development team, technical team, etc.)Manage internal and external reporting requirements to ensure it accurately reflects the business' working practices, is in line with regulatory, and meets stakeholders expectationsImplement a set of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) metrics to measure, monitor and report progressCommunicate and present performance data across the organization and to the stakeholders of the company, for all Worlwide raw materials of the perimeterEnsure the standards and policies outlined for suppliers, and the processes to ensure compliance, meet regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations, specifically, M&A's (Mergers & Acquisitions)Represent the Company in working groups, during international congresses / seminars.The Successful ApplicantAcademic Foundation: You hold a minimum of a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business Management, or Finance.Expert in Raw Materials: You have a strong grasp of the entire value chain for raw materials used in energy storage, especially batteries and hydrogen. You understand everything from mining and refining to processing and trading.Standards Savvy: You're fluent in the relevant standards and best practices within the industry. You can comfortably discuss technical and financial aspects with confidence, with a clear understanding of market trends.Experienced Operator: A minimum of 10 years' experience in this field with a strong network of contacts is ideal. Experience across various sectors like mining, refining, trading companies, and banks is a plus.Data & Reporting Ace: You can analyze and critically evaluate reports from subcontractors and raw material companies. You're also skilled at writing clear and concise reports based on your data collection and analysis.Fluent English is a must for this role.You're a self-motivated, energetic, and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Your synthesis skills are top-notch, enabling you to translate complex data into clear and concise insights for decision-making.You're confident in presenting information to a diverse audience, including senior management and external partners.
