The Senior Application Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of life science applications. This role requires a problem-solving mindset, a keen interest in life science technology, and the ability to work effectively in the Engineering & Manufacturing department.

Job Description

  • Design and develop life science applications.
  • Maintain and improve existing engineering methods.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to solve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry and company standards.
  • Conduct regular system audits and analyses.
  • Provide technical support to other teams within the company.
  • Participate in product development projects.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Application Engineer should have:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Biomechanics preferred
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical and software engineering for installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of medical devices on-site
  • Experience of supporting clinicians in Operating Theatres on the application of medical devices
  • Experience in medical devices and/or in technical assembly, servicing or sales
  • Willingness to travel 50%-75% of the time
