About Our Client
Our client is a distributor of medical devices primarily involved in the orthopaedics space. They are a fast-growing company and offer innovative products from some of the leading brands in the devices industry.
Job Description
Key responsibilities will involve:
- Business development and identification of leads, end-users, and hospital accounts for critical care surgical devices
- Devising strategies to penetrate new accounts and obtain product listings
- Training and developing salespeople to achieve targets and bring in revenue.
- Conducting field sales which will include attending surgical cases in the operating theatre (OT)
- Structural organization of the sales teams in terms of assigned areas and products
- Building strong relationships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) in the medical sector
- Market research and competitor analysis
- Team sales forecasting and reporting
- Achieving overall yearly commercial revenue targets
The Successful Applicant
Key requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biomedical science, medicine, or a related discipline
- A background in medical devices sales, particularly surgical instruments/implants (orthopaedics, vascular, neurological, etc)
- Experience with attending OT cases and a willingness to attend cases that can last for long hours
- Strong existing hospital customer network
- Experience with managing a sales team in medical devices is a must for this position
- Proven sales track record both individually and in your sales team
- Possessing own transport and willing to travel
