About Our Client

Our client is one of the global provider of construction products and technologies. They specialise in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of products used in commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction.

They're presently looking for a Area Sales Manager to manage & grow sales outreach for construction products across the region.

Job Description

The Area Sales Manager will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and is responsible to facilitate sales process and provide technical support in sales demonstration to clients and commercial team. Amongst the many responsibilities some are listed below:

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the East Malaysia region (Sabah and Sarawak) to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and target key construction projects and sectors such as commercial buildings, infrastructure, bridges, and industrial facilities where formwork systems are needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with construction companies, contractors, engineers, and project managers in East Malaysia.
  • Identify new business opportunities by assessing potential clients' needs and promoting formwork solutions.
  • Present formwork products and services to potential clients, showing how the company's solutions can help improve efficiency, safety, and quality in their construction projects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the existing customers, providing them with technical support and after-sales services.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in business or engineering, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
  • Prior experience in construction and sales is also an advantage.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential.
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate integrity, possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, and be able to build and maintain positive customer relationships. Negotiation skills are a must.
  • The candidate should be a self-motivated, creative thinker with good listening skills.
  • This role requires travel.
