They are known for their commitment to excellence and have a reputation for fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Job DescriptionGeneral Accounting: Support end-to-end accounting processes in a life insurance environment, including journal entries, month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.Financial Reporting: Provide expertise in life insurance-specific financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards such as IFRS or GAAP.RTR Process Management: Manage and optimize the Record to Report (RTR) processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and reporting of financial data. Provide insights on accounting matters specific to the life insurance industry.Internal Controls and Compliance: Maintain internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the life insurance sector.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement in accounting processes and work towards optimizing workflows and systems.The Successful ApplicantA successful RTR Manager should have:Life Insurance Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles within the life insurance industry.General Accounting: Strong experience in General Accounting with a focus on the RTR domain, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.RTR Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Record to Report (RTR) processes, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements in the insurance industry.Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; Cantonese-speaking skills are an advantage. Knowledge of Mandarin is not mandatory, but would be a plus.Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
