About Our Client

A prominent Electronic Manufacturing Services provider is seeking an experienced Purchasing Team Manager to join their team in the Penang Island area. With a goal to become the market leader, the company has consistently innovated and grown. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a skilled Purchasing Team Manager to strengthen their team.

Job Description

  • Work with Customer Managers to make sure all material terms in contracts are in place before planning or purchasing starts.
  • Manage and guide the purchasing and material planning teams to ensure smooth and effective operations.
  • Supervise buying teams and demand analysts to meet customer needs and company targets.
  • Represent the materials team to customers, ensuring performance meets corporate KPI like inventory levels and on-time delivery.
  • Help drive supply chain programs and localisation efforts to improve supply line efficiency.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field; over 10 years of experience is a plus.
  • Background in purchasing, commodity, and inventory management, ideally in electronics manufacturing.
  • Supervisory or management experience is preferred. Familiar with MRP/ERP and production control systems.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is an added advantage.
  • Open to Malaysian citizens or individuals with relevant residency status.
