About Our Client

Our client has a strong presence across the Globe and is one of the most established brands in Malaysia. The company has successfully expanded its businesses From US to APAC countries and operate a Shared Services Centre in Malaysia for functional service purposes. Our client is currently looking for OTC Accountant to assist in the relevant operations in Asia Pacific region.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the Order To Cash (OTC) activities including closing activities for operation in APAC countries
  • To ensure compliance on Service Level Agreement (SLA) and meeting of monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Allocate both incoming and outgoing payments as per agreed time-frame.
  • Processing of invoices, deductions, returns and discounts
  • Prepare payment run file and perform all the necessary checks prior to sending the payments for approval.
  • Ensure customer/vendor bank accounts are updated timely.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation and ensure the bank balances are reflected accurately on the balance sheet.
  • Liaise with each entity to ensure all the bank accounts, bank users, signatories and approvers are kept up to date in system
  • Follow up and escalate issues with the responsible parties within each entity for the resolution of issues.
  • Support and resolve any OTC related audit topics.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Identifying, leading and continuously driving process and operational improvement projects
  • Create desktop procedures and ensure their continuous alignment with current processes
  • Ad ho tasks as required by Local Finance team and OTC Manager
  • Ad hoc regional and global projects

The Successful Applicant

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or Business studies
  • Possess 5 years' experience in Order-to-Cash processing cycle or MNC, and other relevant accounting functions, experience working in a SSC is preferable.
  • Strong communication skills - Able to communicate fluently and write in English
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in leading continuous process improvement projects is a plus point.
  • Candidates with experience in working with ERP systems are, SAP experience are highly encouraged to apply, experience with Oracle or SAP is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge in MS office tools.
