Job Description
- Involvement in optical transceiver assembly & fiber-optic product manufacturing

Develop, plan and execute process engineering projects
- Manage optical manufacturing engineers to generate optical process Work Instructions (WI) and internal/external documentation, e.g. presentations and technical reports
- Supervise incoming inspection to minimize latent/catastrophic failures, check for coating defects, tears, cracks and connector end-faces

Supervise final inspection to ensure fiber is not damaged and endcaps, labels & screws
are in place, no fiber pinching and correct fiber routing
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering fields
- Min. 10 Years of experience in Optical Engineering
- Sound experience with optical pluggable (SFP/SFP+/SFP28, QSFP/QSFP+/QSFP28/QSFP-DD, CFP/CFP2/CFP4, OSFP)
Preferred Knowledge:
- Knowledge in modulation schemes (BPSK, QPSK, DQPSK, QAM, PM4)
- Knowledge of coherent optical telecom products
- Knowledge of optical engines
- Experience of fiber fusion splicing on SM, MM, PM and ribbon fiber
- Familiar with optical connector inspection criteria and specification from I-8497
- Experience of implementing best practices for clean room, particle count monitoring based on standards
