About Our Client

As a Front Office Accountant for Japan Retailers, you will be the primary point of contact of Global Finance Delivery organization towards customers and suppliers for Japan retail organization. In this role, you will be responsible to facilitate smooth execution of order-to-cash (OTC) and purchase-to-pay (PTP) processes in the company.

Job Description

  • Leading resolution of inquires using ticketing system, emails and phone calls.
  • Be main contact between the Business and the Finance organization
  • Monitor and follow-up inquires related to OTC & PTP processes proactively and escalate timely to relevant parties for swift resolution.
  • Manage invoice registration and payment processes.
  • Customer Credit Management processes.
  • Lead service provider's team responsible for processing of invoices, credit note, tax and adjustments.
  • Identify, perform & lead improvements within PTP/OTC areas as below (but not limited to).
    • implementation of digital solutions e.g. Self-billing invoicing, E-invoicing and any other digital solutions, if and when required.
    • streamlining PTP/OTC processes to be able to have paper-less environment across Volvo Car Group entities in Asia Pacific
    • harmonization of PTP/OTC processes with global guidelines.
    • reducing Non-PO flow by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
    • improvement of GR/IR clearance within PTP process
    • investigations relating to applying and allocating incoming payments
    • analysis of overdue invoices and performing dunning to have smooth turnover of working capital
    • PTP and OTC period end activities.
  • Measure, analyse and improve KPIs for PTP and OTC processes
  • Provide top class advices & guidelines to the organisation

The Successful Applicant

  • Native or native level Japanese language competence is mandatory.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Around 5 years of experience of overall professional experience preferably two years in PTP and OTC areas. Experience of working in automotive dealership will be a big plus.
  • Knowledge of Finance processes and policies and full ability of applying these in the daily work will be preferred.
  • Experience in executing global processes locally with PTP & OTC areas and working effectively in a global team
  • Refine personality and fluent in English. Any other regional language proficiency e.g. Korean will be an added advantage.
  • Keen interest and skills in IT tools, automations, scripting etc will be big plus.
