Job Description

  • Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, covering New Product Introduction (NPI), new line setup, product transfers, and process development.
  • Oversee process optimisation, continuous improvement, engineering change management, and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product engineering and tooling teams to define manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure production line readiness.
  • Provide engineering support for smooth daily operations and ongoing improvements.
  • Improve OEE performance through uptime, throughput, and scrap reduction enhancements.
  • Identify and execute labor- and cost‑saving OPEX initiatives.
  • Drive automation for both new and existing programs to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead Kaizen events and Lean improvement activities.
  • Support new business opportunities through involvement in design and manufacturing phases of the product development cycle.
  • Standardise manufacturing processes across programs and teams.
  • Develop team competencies through coaching and training.
  • Build and maintain a manufacturing technology roadmap.
  • Balance customer-specific project execution with long-term capability development.
  • Set and review KPIs for the Manufacturing Engineering function.
  • Perform other tasks as required.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in CNC precision machining and electro-mechanical assembly.
  • 5+ years of NPI and engineering leadership experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO9001, QS9000, and IATF16949.
  • Experience in motor manufacturing is an added advantage.
