Michael Page Malaysia is partnering with a reputable Public Listed Company to recruit a highly skilled Manager, Legal to join their dynamic legal team.

Our client is a leading industry force, swiftly expanding its operations and strengthening its presence throughout the country and region.

Job Description

  • Oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, and provision of legal advice on contracts and legal documents related to transactions and operational matters for the Group company and its subsidiaries.
  • Analyse and interpret legal and regulatory issues, ensuring compliance and providing solutions to resolve any challenges.
  • Keep the Group company and its subsidiaries informed of relevant legal and regulatory updates, both domestically and internationally.
  • Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders, addressing any legal concerns that arise across various business operations.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on issues affecting the Group company and its subsidiaries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders to protect the company's legal and business interests.
  • Lead, guide, and motivate the legal team to ensure optimal performance and timely delivery of legal services.
  • Take on additional legal responsibilities as assigned by senior management to support company's operations globally and locally.



The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) is required.
  • Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal private practice experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience as an in-house legal counsel within a listed company or multinational corporation.
  • Experience in construction matters and litigation would be highly advantageous.
