Job Description

Job PurposeThe role is focused on delivering financial leadership and strategic direction to enhance the company's commercial initiatives. It requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial analysis, business planning, and commercial operations.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Collaborate with business leaders and finance partners to identify and fulfill financial analysis requirements.
  2. Oversee the creation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to aid in commercial decision-making.
  3. Manage the financial aspects of programs by identifying key drivers, conducting relevant analyses, and presenting insights or recommendations to enhance revenue, margins, and profitability.
  4. Provide monthly financial reports that include variance, profitability, and pricing analyses to inform business decisions and optimize performance.
  5. Assess program margins and performance.
  6. Deliver budgets and periodic forecasts to senior management.
  7. Work with the commercial team to formulate pricing strategies, promotional plans, and sales targets, while evaluating the financial impact of initiatives to maximize ROI.
  8. Prepare management reporting packs in a timely and clear manner, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  9. Reconcile data across various records to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  10. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in commercial operations.
  11. Assess investment opportunities, including new product launches, market expansions, and capital investments.
  12. Conduct financial modeling and ROI analysis to evaluate the feasibility and potential returns of investment projects.
  13. Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  14. Establish controls and processes to mitigate financial risks and maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

The Successful Applicant



  • Educational Background:
    • Degree in accountancy or recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, or CIMA).


  • Working Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years in commercial finance, financial planning and analysis, or business partnering.


  • Required Knowledge:
    • Proficient in budgeting and forecasting techniques.
    • Understanding of pricing strategies and revenue management.
    • Strong investment analysis skills and insights into market trends and consumer behavior.
    • Awareness of cost-benefit analysis principles.


  • Required Skills:
    • Strong business acumen and excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
    • Proficient in budgeting, accounting, and forecasting.
    • Strong analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
