Job Description

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leaders across the SEA region, understanding their business priorities, challenges, and opportunities, and translating them into actionable HR strategies.
  • Talent Management & Development: Lead and drive talent management initiatives, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and employee development programs to build a high-performing and future-ready workforce.
  • Organizational Design & Effectiveness: Partner with business leaders to design and implement effective organizational structures, optimize workflows, and enhance overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence: Build strong and credible relationships with key stakeholders across the region, including business leaders, employees, and HR colleagues. Effectively influence decision-making and drive the adoption of HR initiatives.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Proactively manage employee relations matters, ensuring a fair and consistent approach, fostering a positive and engaging work environment, and mitigating potential risks.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent within the SEA market context.
  • HR Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to local labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies and procedures across the SEA region.
  • Change Management: Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication.
  • Succession Planning: Identify and develop high-potential talent within the SEA HR team and the broader organization, actively contributing to succession planning efforts for key leadership roles, including the Head of HRBP position.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives, and provide insights to business leaders to inform decision-making.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in regional and global HR projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful HRBP (Investment Banking) should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive HR experience, with a significant portion spent as an HR Business Partner, preferably within the investment banking or broader financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of talent management principles and best practices, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Proven experience working across multiple countries within the Southeast Asia region, with a strong understanding of local employment laws and cultural nuances.
