The combination of organic and inorganic growth called for the foundation of very strong and robust Corporate Strategy function in line with continuous business expansion.
Job Description
Leadership purview and accountabilities extend over all subdivisions of Corporate Strategy, across the different subsidiaries and business lines. With adequate resources available and allocated budget to reflect the commitment of senior management, the positions have several key dimensions in working closely with the President / CEO and Board to drive the following mandates:-
- Corporate and Business Planning / Strategy / Research
- Strategic and Operational Transformation and Improvements
- Projects / PMO (including managing/mobilising/engaging external vendors and consultants)
- Business Development (separate from the Commercial Business Development and Sales)
- Business Performance Management
- Strategy Risk and Governance
- Innovation, Business Rationalisation and Turnaround
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience across any industry in a well established and exemplary corporate strategy function (including minimum of 5 years in a leadership or people management capacity)
- Experience in other functions such as Operations, Commercial / Business Development, Transformation or experience in external advisory / consultancy firms will also be valuable to the organisation
- Strategic thinker
- Strong written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Demonstrated track record in managing senior level stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Outstanding capability in influencing, managing people, mobilising and optimising resources
