The company is committed to delivering innovative financial solutions and fostering a professional work environment.Job DescriptionProvide strategic advisory on assurance matters, including identifying control gaps, interpreting policies, and supporting senior management decision-making.Proactively identify governance and control weaknesses, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead the development and enhancement of first-line governance frameworks to strengthen operational controls and accountability.Conduct assurance activities such as gap analyses, policy attestations, and oversight reviews to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.Monitor investment limit and restriction breaches on a daily basis, ensuring prompt investigation, escalation, and resolution.Oversee the periodic review and enhancement of investment-related policies, mandates, guidelines, and governance frameworks.Manage and maintain Bloomberg Front Office Systems, including compliance rule configuration, testing, and monitoring.Foster a strong risk-aware and control-focused culture within Investment Management through governance initiatives and training programs.Act as the key liaison with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Shariah, and regional/group assurance teams, while preparing governance and assurance reports for management and committees.The Successful ApplicantA successful Head of Investment Assurance should have:Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Investment, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or FRM are advantageous.At least 7 years of relevant experience in investment, risk management, compliance, audit, or related functions, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.Practical experience with Bloomberg Compliance and related front-office investment systems.Strong understanding of BNM and/or SC regulatory frameworks, with sound knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and structures.Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the confidence to appropriately escalate and address issues.Proactive and hands-on mindset with the ability to challenge processes, assumptions, and practices constructively while promoting strong governance and risk management standards.What's on OfferOpportunity to lead a key department in a large organization within the insurance industry.Permanent position based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur.Access to professional development and career advancement opportunities.Comprehensive benefits package tailored to senior leadership roles.This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact in the insurance industry.
