Job Description

  • Lead global sourcing and procurement for fatty alcohols and fatty acids
  • Monitor market trends and commodity indices to optimize buying decisions
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with sourcing policies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across procurement, logistics, and sustainability
  • Negotiate high-value contracts and manage supplier relationships
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to guide procurement timing

The Successful Applicant

A successful Global Category Buyer should have:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Mandatory: Direct experience in fatty acids and fatty alcohols procurement
  • Minimum 5-6 years of procurement experience in oleochemicals or FMCG
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, supply-demand dynamics, and pricing strategies
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken, reading, and writing) - essential for supplier engagement in China
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
