About Our Client

Our client is a large organisation within the logistics industry. It is known for its commitment to operational excellence and providing reliable services to its clients.

Job Description

Your main job dutes will include;

  • Making sure proper finance and accounting controls are in place.
  • Review vendor payments and employee reimbursements to ensure they follow company policies.
  • Check payroll for accuracy and ensure timely payments.
  • Look for ways to reduce costs and discuss improvements with other teams.
  • Handle vendor account reconciliations and resolve payment queries.
  • Work with banks on transactions, statements, and process improvements.
  • Review general ledger, balance sheet, and profit & loss reports regularly.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, and report on any differences.
  • Ensure all accounting and reporting is accurate and completed on time.
  • Coordinate statutory and tax audits and act on audit recommendations.
  • Verify fixed assets and process adjustments with proper approvals.
  • Deal with statutory authorities for inspections and audits.
  • Get insurance quotes for office and assets and handle negotiations.
  • Respond promptly to statutory notices and orders.
  • Support management with reports, cash flow statements, and other tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
