About Our Client

Our client is a public listed company in the construction industry and is currently looking for talented and independent individual to join their team to grow together and expand.

Job Description

  • Manage the treasury function of the company and implement a system of policies and procedures for adequate control over the treasury function
  • Manage daily cash balances and to ensure cash flow adequacy in meeting ongoing operational and capital investment requirement
  • Responsible for preparation of cash flow forecast, budgeted cash flow, and presented financial forecast vs actual expenditure
  • Work closely with operation, contracts, sale on projections of project cash flow, budget, collection updates, and payment obligation to maintain a healthy financial situation
  • Ensure all corporate banking matters is handled accurately in compliance with all related regulation, policies and guideline
  • Maintain good working relationship with bankers
  • To oversee AP/AR operational activities and to provide report for management decision making
  • To ensure timely reconciliation of AP/AR are performed by team members
  • Ensure proper and timely deduction to supplier and sub con
  • To lead the AP team to achieve their KPI of accrual and payments
  • Make sure there is effective credit control, AR monitoring, claims, collection, payments, and petty cash handling
  • Liaise with clients to follow up on payments
  • Monitor accounting software, data maintenance and continuous process improvement
  • Verification of payments, petty cash and staff overtime claims
  • Support for internal and external audit
  • Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, lawyer, and government bodies for all related matters
  • Any ad-hoc assignments given by the superior

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Professional qualification is added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years experience with 2 years in managerial position (Construction candidate is added advantage)
  • Matured, analytical, agile, systematic and good business acumen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide sound financial advise to the Management or Directors
  • Good liaison with auditors, bankers and tax agents
