Job Description

  • Lead customer engagement initiatives focused on order-to-invoice efficiency, inventory management, and service KPIs.
  • Coordinate with the commercial team and distributors to ensure alignment on planning, replenishment, and shipment execution.
  • Extract and analyze data from internal systems to identify gaps and propose commercial actions (e.g., SKU rationalization, volume adjustments).
  • Monitor shipment vs. planned volumes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Manage customer expectations and lead monthly engagement meetings to align on joint initiatives.
  • Support improvement projects including automation and process simplification.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between internal teams and customers, ensuring proactive communication and alignment.
  • Handle escalations related to product shortages, delivery issues, and East Malaysia shipments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Customer Engagement Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in customer engagement, customer service, or supply chain roles within a multinational company (FMCG preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into business recommendations.
  • Experience with SAP and Excel; familiarity with dashboards and planning tools.
  • Background in demand planning or commercial planning is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Curious, proactive, and able to work independently with a sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
