As part of their expansion, they are looking for a skilled Commodity Manager to strengthen their team.Job DescriptionAct as the primary escalation point for negotiation, supplier terms and conditions, and pricing issues, while supporting supplier performance management using scorecards and conducting regular business reviews with critical suppliers.Develop and implement regional cost-saving initiatives aligned with business unit goals and participate in the supplier selection and qualification process.Assist in managing the Approved Supplier List (ASL), minimize sole-source suppliers, and create business continuity plans for sole-source suppliers.Formulate sourcing strategies for equipment, maintain relationships with critical suppliers in the region, and collaborate with global counterparts on sourcing activities.Ensure regulatory compliance, manage performance, and develop a team of supply chain support professionals, while implementing and verifying Total Cost of Ownership (TCOO) programs in Capital Procurement.The Successful ApplicantProficiency in cost estimating methods (e.g., bottoms-up, analogous, three-point, parametric) and strong analytical skills to review data and make cost-related recommendations.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with strong organizational abilities to manage and complete multiple tasks within changing deadlines. Must be a team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to solve problems independently, manage competing tasks, and hold oneself and others accountable for achieving goals and standards. Experience in developing high-spend strategies, influencing non-direct reports, and driving supplier consolidation and material optimization.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
