Please apply if you are up for the challenge.Job DescriptionYou will in be in charge ofStrategic Financial Leadership & Vision:Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy, aligning with the corporate vision and objectives in Malaysia.Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial input on all major business decisions.Lead the development of long-term financial plans, including capital allocation, funding strategies, and profitability targets, considering the Malaysian market dynamics.Analyze industry trends, regulatory changes in Malaysia, and competitor performance to identify opportunities and risks.Financial Reporting & Compliance Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and presentation of financial statements in compliance with MFRS, Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, and other statutory regulations in Malaysia.Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to local timelines and reporting standards.Manage the tax planning and compliance function for Malaysia, ensuring adherence to local tax laws (e.g., income tax, SST, withholding tax).Coordinate and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities in Malaysia (e.g., Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia).Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and best practices for listed companies in Malaysia.Treasury & Risk Management (Malaysia Focus):Oversee the company's treasury functions in Malaysia, including cash management, banking relationships, and foreign exchange risk management (considering MYR fluctuations and regulations).Develop and implement financial risk management policies and strategies to mitigate risks such as interest rate risk, credit risk, and operational risk within the Malaysian context.Ensure adequate insurance coverage for the company's assets and liabilities in Malaysia.Investor Relations:Serve as a key point of contact for investors and analysts, communicating the company's financial performance and outlook in a clear and transparent manner, adhering to Bursa Malaysia's disclosure requirements.Develop and maintain strong relationships with the investment community in Malaysia and internationally.Capital Markets & Corporate Finance:Evaluate and execute capital raising activities, including equity and debt financing, in compliance with Bursa Malaysia regulations.Manage relationships with investment banks and other financial institutions.Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (if applicable), providing financial due diligence and valuation expertise.Internal Controls & GovernanceEstablish and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information in accordance with best practices and local regulations.Ensure adherence to the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance.Team Leadership & Development:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team in Malaysia, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.The Successful ApplicantYou will be suitable for the this role if youBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.Professional accounting qualification (e.g., MIA, ACCA, CPA) is essential.Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership roles, with significant experience within a publicly listed company in Malaysia.Deep and thorough understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, and corporate governance regulations in Malaysia.Proven track record in strategic financial planning, financial analysis, reporting, treasury management, risk management, and investor relations within the Malaysian capital market.Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with the board of directors, executive management, investors, and regulatory bodies in Malaysia.Strong business acumen and understanding of the Malaysian economic and political landscape.Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced financial modeling skills.What's on OfferYou will be rewarded with an attractive of RM 30000- RM 40000 monthly.ContactSue Wen LooiQuote job refJN-052025-6739339Phone number6012 327 0601Job summaryFunctionFinance & AccountingSpecialisationFinancial Director / CFOWhat is your area of specialisation?Industrial / ManufacturingLocationKuala LumpurContract TypePermanentConsultant nameSue Wen LooiConsultant contact6012 327 0601Job ReferenceJN-052025-6739339
