Adopting a combination of conservative asset strategy and innovative channels, they have expanded their footprint in the region to reach out to millions of customers, both in the corporate and consumer segments. Recognising the importance of governance, investments have been directed into transforming different areas of the governance function, including AML Governance, which covers CDD/Onboarding.

Job Description

  • Ensuring processes, systems and controls in place to comply with CDD, On-boarding and AML requirements
  • Manage customer acceptance policy, customer due diligence, record keeping, ongoing monitoring, reporting of suspicious transactions
  • Review On-boarding of new clients in line with due diligence requirements
  • Support the compliance agenda across the business (in tandem with Group Compliance)
  • Support with the development and implementation of a risk based compliance monitoring programme
  • Manage special projects required to comply with regulatory changes or enhance the compliance framework
  • Establish and review policy and procedures to be reflective of prevailing internal and external requirements
  • Stay informed on changes to all related regulations
  • Provide updates of applicable and required changes to business and operational practices
  • Provide compliance advisory to business units on the products and services from product initiation till product launch

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Law/Finance/Accounting/Business/ or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in AML compliance or audit is highly desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Wealth or other retail financial services products and services, in addition to applicable regulations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
