Job Description

The Residential Solar Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with homeowners, and driving the growth of residential solar projects. This individual will work closely with internal teams, partners, and customers to develop and implement strategies that increase the adoption of solar energy solutions in the residential market.

  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the residential solar energy sector.
  • Sales Execution: Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals with homeowners.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, providing a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Project and Process Management: Oversee the project development process, ensuring that all residential solar installations are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate with technical teams to assess the feasibility of projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the solar energy or renewable energy industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, especially in residential markets.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Goal-oriented with a strong desire to drive business growth
