Job Description

  • Monitor market activity and industry trends in Malaysia to identify new project opportunities.
  • Originate and build new customer relationships in emerging growth sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, business development) to design and propose optimal technical solutions.
  • Prepare and present detailed project proposals including bill of materials, cost estimations, and site layouts.
  • Lead project development phases with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers to understand and incorporate their preferences into the project design.
  • Propose innovative technical alternatives that offer competitive advantages.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 7 years of experience in engineering, business development, project management, or commercial roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish client relationships.
  • Proven track record managing large, complex engineering or construction projects.
  • Experience with semiconductor chemical systems and on-site chemical operations.
  • Strong understanding of both commercial and operational project aspects.
  • Comfortable working in multicultural, cross-functional environments.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
