It is a strategic role involving category development, analysing market insights and exercising trade, commercial and brand planning.

Job Description

Category Strategy & Development:

  • Lead the development of the new portfolio.
  • Identify and drive innovation in food applications and new product development aligned with advanced market trends.
  • Translate market share data into actionable insights, especially within the HORECA segment.



Market & Channel Insights:

  • Analyze food industry, trends and consumption culture to anticipate upcoming product needs.
  • Monitor and predict channel evolution in Malaysia and identify emerging business opportunities.
  • Leverage global insights to localize innovation and identify volume growth areas.



Trade & Commercial Execution:

  • Conduct trade presentations and support sales teams with product pairing strategies and buyer engagement.
  • Understand and navigate both consumer-facing and backend brand dynamics.



Branding & Marketing:

  • Work with group marketing to propose sub-branding strategies tailored to the Malaysian market.
  • Own the 4Ps and trade marketing execution for the category.
  • Brand custodian for brand development, trade marketing, and HoReCa communications.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Brand Intelligence Manager should have:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in food industry within FMCG.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Commercially savvy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
