Job Description

  • Advise and review facility agreements, security documents, and other transaction documents to ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management practices.
  • Review and negotiate changes to standard facility letters, board resolutions, and corporate guarantees, ensuring commercial objectives are met and internal approvals obtained.
  • Assist the deals team and other stakeholders by managing loan transactions from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Review and advise on non-standard corporate authorisation documents provided by banking customers, ensuring validity and compliance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Banking Consultant (Legal) should have:

  • 3 - 5 years PQE.
  • A degree in Law or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in banking and financial legal matters.
  • Strong understanding of legal compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in managing legal documentation and contracts.
