Job Description

The APAC Marketing Director position works closely with local Country Managers and in-country marketing teams to drive business objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of regional marketing strategies with flexibility for localisation based on country and customer needs
  • Review market trends and research on competitors, monitor competitive environment to stay current with market movements
  • Spearhead the establishment of marketing and branding frameworks across the region
  • Craft a comprehensive marketing strategy encompassing both traditional and digital realms, aligning it with global marketing objectives and regional nuances.
  • Take full responsibility for meeting predetermined marketing and branding targets within designated time frames and budgets.
  • Direct advertising, trade shows, promotions, and other marketing activities across the region.
  • Collaborate with country and regional teams to create a calendar of marketing events, trade shows, and digital campaigns.
  • Partner with countries in crafting effective communication strategies during product launches.
  • Address trademark issues in coordination with relevant segments.
  • Develop customer databases to expand marketing outreach.
  • Engage with brand owners globally, coordinating with other regions and headquarters.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of corporate identity in customer communication.
  • Provide regional insights for website and global marketing initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate is an experienced marketing leader with strong B2B marketing experience. Key requirements include:

  • Marketing leadership experience with a proven track record of success in a B2B environment
  • Experience in a regional role with leadership exposure
  • Minimum 10 years in marketing & branding with 5 years of hands on experience in digital marketing
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • 1/3 of travelling time within APAC region
