Our client is a luxury resort, a subsidiary under a large group of established luxury hotels and resorts.

Job Description

As a specialist in all things social media, the Social Media Assistant Manager will play a critical role within the Marketing Communications team by creating and distributing best-in-class, consistent and relevant content that attracts, retains and drive customer action within our target audiences.

Creative and coupled with strong copywriting and design (graphic, photo and video) skills, the ideal candidate will also be passionate about destination storytelling within the digital space, and in delivering thumb-stopping content.

Responsibilities :

  • Creating content calendars and scheduling/publishing material across all social media channels

  • Creating social media campaign plans for business and marketing priorities (product launches,

    awareness campaigns, events and contests etc.)

  • Writing creative briefs to provide agencies and/or external designers, video editors, and copywriters with guidance for visual assets

  • Assisting with influencer marketing by identifying and selecting influencers, reposting content, and

    engaging with influencer posts

  • Conduct social listening by monitoring hashtags and branded keywords, detecting brand safety

    issues, managing social media crises and identifying real-time marketing opportunities based on

    current trends

  • Content creation and/or curation (taking photos, writing copy, designing or modifying graphics, editing

    videos, finding UGC content, and contributing to editorial content)

  • Community management (replying to comments and messages on social and flagging issues to other

    teams where required)

  • Reporting on a weekly/monthly basis with ad-hoc reporting for major marketing campaigns/events

    when required

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years of agency or brand work experience in social media, content creation, digital

    marketing and/or creative content writing. Candidates with agency experience is highly preferred.

  • Self-starter with excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and other

    social media best practices

  • Proactive, solution-oriented and an ability to multitask

  • Strong storyteller with excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organisational aptitude, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers

  • Resourceful, motivated, independent and takes initiative to fulfil tasks according to specified timelines

  • Social media copywriting ability

  • Photo/video editing skills (Adobe / Creative Suite / Photoshop / Premier)

  • Passionate about the travel/tourism industry
